CAROLYN J CARPENTER ~ BIO

Carolyn J Carpenter is an entrepreneur, producer, writer, and actor. She is the founder and CEO of Hollywood Gatekeepers Productions and has served as a founding producer of Neo Ensemble Theatre, Associate Producer of Alternative Repertory Theatre, and the founder and creator of the award-winning mega-hit MOTEL 6 Feet Under Haunted House.

Carolyn has served as a Story Analyst/Reader for filmmakers and companies producing iconic films such as JOKER, GAME OF THRONES, WALKING DEAD, GRAN TORINO, GET SMART, SHERLOCK HOLMES, AMERICAN SNIPER, BLACK SWAN, YOUNG GUNS, TRAFFIC, LOST IN SPACE, SKULL ISLAND, TAMMY, AVATAR, OCEANS 8, ZODIAC, THE THIN RED LINE, LIFE OF PI, XMEN, PEOPLE VS LARRY FLINT, SULLY, GREAT GATSBY, MR. HOLLAND’S OPUS BABE, QUIZ SHOW, FOOTLOOSE, NIXON & KISSINGER, as well as for agencies such as Innovative Artists, and contests including the Sundance Institute, the Scriptwriter’s Network and the CBS Diversity Program. She has served as a guest speaker and moderator on panels with the Newport Beach Film Festival, the American Scriptwriters Association, the Writer’s Network, and as a final juror for many Screenwriting competitions. She has made guests appearances on podcasts including COOL THINGS ENTREPRENEURS DO, HAUNTED ATTRACTIONS , MY HAUNT LIFE, among others.

As a producer, Ms. Carpenter has produced hundreds of events and theatrical productions. She wrote, directed, and produced instructional line dance videos, selling over a million copies. She wrote, produced, and codirected two short films starring Oscar-winner JK Simmons (WHIPLASH). Her plays RANDOM WOMEN, MUTE, THREE LITTLE WORDS, ILLUSIONS, WRETCHED, ENIGMA, HUES, and MISNOMER have been produced multiple times in and around Hollywood. She has written a book of scenes and monologues now available on Amazon. She has acted in projects and produced events with Oscar-winner Bobby Moresco (CRASH), Patrick Warburton (GET SMART) Anthony Geary (GENERAL HOSPITAL) Shirley Jones (PARTRIDGE FAMILY), Florence Henderson (BRADY BUNCH), Gavin Macleod (LOVE BOAT), and Lily Tomlin, among others.

Carolyn is also a Certified Life Coach as well as a Certified Fund Raising Executive, serving on boards, producing events and raising funds for nonprofits including the Anaheim Fall Festival, the Anaheim Family YMCA, the American Cancer Society, the Anaheim Performing Arts Council, the Assistance League of Anaheim, Neo Ensemble Theatre, Alternative Repertory Theatre, Building Occupational Opportunities, Art in Motion, Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Rigby McCoy Entertainment, Miss Anaheim Fall Festival, Miss Anaheim Pageant, Boys and Girls Club, Caterina’s Club, and the Ford Theatres among others. She is also the recipient of the Eben Pagan $10,000 scholarship for online marketing and a Certified Facebook Marketer. She has made appearances as a public speaker at the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Santa Ana College, American Film Association, Midsummer Scream, Assisteens Assistance League Conference, CaterCon, and the YMCA, among others. She has also been recognized for her community service by being chosen as the honoree for the YMCA Alden Esping Putting Classic and the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce Women’s Division Award.
